19th century Venetian gilt gold console table having a grey marble top. This ornately carved console or serving table is simply stunning and was certainly crafted to make a statement in any room it sits in. The double serpentine form case with a carved satyr mask in the center of the apron and a wonderfully carved gilt shell and leaf vine design in giltwood. The sides with bulging legs curved and carved with precision like skill. The legs supporting a gray and white veined marble top with a undercarriage of shell and leaf carvings. The entire table in its original form having never been touched. Minor gilt loss from wear as well as very minor scratches and nicks. This stunning table is in fine condition considering its age and originality
